高原村是潮安区归湖镇下辖的行政村，位于乡政府北面约2公里处。它东面连着东明村，南面与白藤坑村接壤，西北面与万峰林场交界，北面与高峰村毗邻。博雅地名网称，村名的由来是此地海拔较高。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1999年，高原改称高原村民委员会，名称沿用至今。[1]

姓氏宗族[edit]

深坑村以魏姓为主，清康熙末年从凤凰九斗迁来；文姓则在民国初年迁入深坑。[1]

龙高楼村原名砻钩溜，也称香花坑，村名后来才改。村中陈姓先祖于清中期从高峰的崩行村迁来，因村前山形似砻钩而得名。解放初期，凤南小学曾设在此村；村里旅居泰国的华侨较多。[1]

葛湖村姓文，明末从凤凰下埔迁来；上柘榴盘的文氏，则在清康熙初年由凤凰下埔迁入安家。[1]

文化[edit]

2020年12月，广东省爱卫会授予高原村「2020年广东省卫生村」称号。2021年9月，高原村入选第二批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村，产业为茶叶。[1]
