历史沿革[edit]
1958年，此地成立「东凤大队」；1999年改称凤东村民委员会，名称沿用至今。[1]
姓氏宗族[edit]
后洋，又称凤洋，居民以谢、赖、林三姓为主。谢姓始祖顺卜公在明成化二十一年（1485年）从揭阳谢厝坑迁来；赖姓始祖世德公于明天顺三年（1459年）从饶平三饶葵坑迁来；林姓始祖逸叟公则于清康熙年间从仙洋林迁来。[2]
东塘在后洋东北，隔着一片田相望，住有许、林二姓。许姓始祖银溪公于清嘉庆二十四年（1819年）从丰顺银溪迁入，原姓蒋，后因受邻乡欺侮，求助于彩英坑，改姓许。[2]
文化[edit]
2020年12月，广东省爱卫会授予凤东村「广东省卫生村」称号。2026年1月，凤东村获评「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」。[1]
