洋光村是潮安区江东镇下辖的行政村，位于镇域东部。村子东临韩江堤岸，北面与洲东村相接，西面邻独树村，南面则是三吴村。村民由林、李、刘、张、郑、蔡六姓组成，村名1958年由“洋泼沼”改为洋光。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，最早开村的是林氏三兄弟林玉明等人，约在明嘉靖十三年（1534年）自福建莆田携家迁来。此后，李氏自仙坪田村北端迁来，刘氏自磷溪溪口迁入，郑氏自鲤鱼脐迁入，张氏原住村东，为避盗患而靠拢居住，蔡氏则在解放前后从潮州市迁入。村名旧称“洋泼沼”，因地处海洋淤积之地，又多池塘湖泊，林氏取兴旺之意改名，1958年改为洋光。[1]

村内旧时属海阳县。1958年公社化后，本村隶属洲东大队；1962年又分出，以主村名设洋光大队；1999年改为洋光村民委员会，此名沿用至今。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村域约一平方公里，水域约占八分之一，耕地约550亩，多为沙土和半沙土。过去地势高低不平，水患频繁，田园和村庄时常被水淹。距镇政府约3公里。[2]

人口民族[edit]

据博雅地名网，截至2005年，村中计有309户，男703人、女691人，合计1394人。其中林姓150户674人，李姓107户466人，刘姓30户140人，郑姓11户62人，张姓9户48人，蔡姓2户4人。[2]

经济[edit]

村民以农为主，过去种植甘蔗、黄麻、花生等经济作物，并经营腌制业。20世纪60年代，村里大规模平整土地、修建排灌渠系，改种水稻，并被评为江东粮食高产单位。[2]

1963年，村中建起抽纱工场，女工承接“双凤朝牡丹”“玻璃绣品”等抽纱产品。改革开放后，工副业发展加快，村民收入逐年提高。1983年，村党支部将弯曲狭窄的村道取直拓宽；2003年，全村安装自来水表270个，村民告别饮水困难。[2]

文化[edit]

村中清光绪年间始有私塾，民国时期设“振德小学”。解放后，洋光与洲东合办小学，洋光设分教处；1965年洋光单独办起完全小学，七十年代又办至初中。1998年，村里集资建起教学楼。[2]

村民喜爱潮州音乐和潮州戏，解放前已有两支锣鼓队，20世纪50年代又创办《农乐剧团》，弦乐组也长期活动。全村参加新型合作医疗保险的有690人。[2]

2019年9月，洋光村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单；2026年3月，洋光村被认定为「广东省第三批百千万工程典型村镇」。[1]
