柚杭村是潮安区江东镇下辖的行政村，位于镇域西北端，西临韩江西溪，隔江与枫溪区云步相望。村由肖厝、钟厝两个自然村合并而成，村名因大部分田园种柚而得。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

柚杭村原由肖厝和钟厝两处自然村组成，旧称“溪底肖”，因地处韩江西溪滨低洼的洲园，常受洪水浸渍而得名。后来村民多种柚子，以此收入为主，遂改称柚杭村。[1]

肖氏先辈于明万历十四年（1586年）自福建莆田迁来创村。钟氏先辈自福建南迁，先住在堤内的柚园村，后迁至本村北端定居，村中至今留有钟厝埕遗址。[1]

1958年，村属水头大队；1975年，本村与神厝自水头大队分出，另设柚杭大队；1984年公社改区，此地设柚杭乡；1987年改设镇，称柚杭管理区；1999年改为村民委员会，此名沿用至今。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村域西北高、东南低，地势稍有倾斜。南连葛外村，东靠柚园村。村中农田灌溉原本不能接通自流渠系，只能依靠村内沟渠和池塘。[2]

人口民族[edit]

博雅地名网所载全村238户、1081人，其中男536人、女545人；肖厝以肖氏为主，钟厝以钟氏为主，另有蔡、黄、邢等姓。该网站未注明统计年份。[2]

经济[edit]

村子耕地约168亩，多为冲积的沙质土，过去宜种甘蔗、黄麻和蔬菜，现以香蕉、竹笋等多年生作物为主。[2]

1956年冬至1957年，村民在平埔地整土，扩大耕地10多亩，并在韩江滨修起长400多米的防洪沙堤。1958年7月暴雨成灾，沙堤被冲决，60多亩耕地陷入江中。1960年6月上旬暴雨不断，至10日韩江水位达16.88公尺，村落受淹，灾后田园又垮去120多亩。村民随后用三年零三个月的时间搬沙整地，并在村外筑起长786米、高4米的防洪大堤。[2]

1976年，村里建立机绣厂和抽纱场，承接镇内工厂的加工业务，村民收入随之增加。2005年，村民人均收入为4139元。[2]

文化[edit]

柚杭村曾有不少旅居香港、新加坡、印尼、泰国和美国的侨亲。1989年，侨亲肖诚炳回乡后发动侨亲募捐，重修了肖氏宗祠；1994年，旅港乡亲肖长庚捐资250万元，在村中兴建柚杭培英小学的教学大楼、礼堂和宿舍。据博雅地名网，2004年侨亲肖诚元捐资78万多元，修筑了村道水泥路，并重修柚杭古庙。[2]

2021年12月，广东省爱卫会授予柚杭村「2021年广东省卫生村」荣誉称号。[1]
