东寨村又称傅厝，位于彩塘镇政府驻地北侧，潮仙公路东侧。村居仙乐寨之东，故名东寨。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

村古属上莆都仙乐寨。明永乐四年（1406年），傅姓由仙乐主村的纱帽池迁来定居，后繁衍成大族，村因此又称傅厝。1981年分设东寨乡，1999年起为东寨村民委员会。[1]
