彩塘镇是广东省潮州市潮安区下辖的镇，位于韩江下游平原，镇政府驻彩金路。全镇辖1个社区和32个行政村。镇内华侨众多，素称侨乡；工业以不锈钢制品为主，制鞋业也有一定规模。境内有全国重点文物保护单位从熙公祠和市级文物甘露寺。[1][3][7]

历史沿革[edit]

彩塘一带北宋时已有村落，宋时隶属上莆都。民国三年（1914年）上莆都改为上莆区，民国三十五年（1946年）此地分为莆东、莆西两乡。[4]

新中国成立后，此地先后划为上东区、第七区，其后数度改设乡、公社。博雅地名网记1956年已设彩塘乡，1958年才有彩塘公社，1960年末曾一分为二，两年后复并为一社。[4] 维基百科所记年份与之不同，它称1955年设区公所、1958年改设人民公社、1983年恢复区公所，本条以博雅地名网为准。[6]

建制几经变化：1983年由公社改为区，1987年起为镇，至1992年才正式定名为潮安县彩塘镇。潮州市部分行政区划经国务院于2013年6月28日调整，原潮安县撤销，改设潮安区，彩塘镇因而属潮安区。[1][4]

地理环境[edit]

镇域位于韩江三角洲南部，西面是桑浦山脉，东南与东凤镇相邻，南面与庵埠镇接壤，北与金石镇交界。[1][6]

潮汕公路与广梅汕铁路穿过镇境。[3] 面积有两种说法：百度百科作43.87平方千米，博雅地名网作约45平方公里。[1][3]

据百度百科，截至2019年末全镇户籍人口为119314人。[1] 博雅地名网的概况载总人口10.06万人，其经济数字止于2002年前后。[3]

彩塘是侨乡，据概况所载，旅居海外的乡亲有六万多人，归侨与侨眷约占全镇人口的六成。[3]

镇内以不锈钢工业为主。1998年，国家在彩塘设立中国不锈钢器皿分中心，此后当地被誉为粤东地区的「不锈钢王国」。[3] 据概况，2002年前后全镇企业数为1250家，内含五金不锈钢企业890家，产品覆盖厨餐具、建筑装饰、医疗器械等七大类，年产值22亿元；制鞋业有六十多家企业，是粤东较大的鞋类生产地。[3]

百度百科载，2019年规模以上工业企业为87个，全部工业企业合计1319个。[1]

据概况，舞龙、舞狮、弦乐和灯谜是彩塘的民间文艺。[3] 甘筒粿即马铃薯粿，博雅地名网称这种小吃最早出自彩塘一带。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

从熙公祠位于金砂管理区斜角头一带，维基百科将其置于金砂一村，百度百科则写作金砂村。2006年5月25日，国务院把它列入第六批全国重点文物保护单位名录，以石雕见长。[2][7][8] 工程始于清同治九年（1870年），光绪九年（1883年）告竣，出资营建的是旅居马来西亚柔佛州的侨领陈旭年。[2][8]

急公好义坊在塘东桥边，为清代石牌坊。它于清光绪十四年（1888年）动工，光绪十七年（1891年）完工，由户部主事沈绍远为祖父沈学全、祖母沈庄氏立。据百度百科，该坊1987年被定为潮州市重点保护文物。[9]

甘露寺据博雅地名网载，创建于北宋治平年间（1064年至1067年），此后明、清、民国都有修葺，1984年起大规模重修；寺中以天然大石围成石室，石壁上凿有大型弥勒造像。据概况，甘露寺属市级重点保护文物，素有潮州第一石窟寺之誉。[2][3]

金砂黄氏家族墓位于桑浦山东麓，共有十二座墓葬。[12]

南方砖瓦窑遗址在南方村，年代为明，列入潮州市文物保护单位。[10] 潮安少卿第在水美村，是明代建筑，原为明嘉靖年间大理寺少卿吴一贯的府第。[11]

著名人物[edit]

许雪秋（1875年至1912年）为丁未黄冈起义的领导人，宏安一村是他的故乡。[2][13]
