高楼村是广东省潮州市潮安区沙溪镇下辖的行政村，位于镇的西面，距镇治3里，下辖三个自然村，即陈高楼、鲲头和浦边。村子南傍桑浦山，北面是高厦二村，东边与沙溪一、二村相接。[1][2]

村中有陈、吴、蔡、刘、卢、黄六姓，其中陈、蔡、吴三姓人口较多。马铃薯是本村的特产。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

据村情所载，高楼一带的先民是元末明初（公元1364—1372年）从莆田来的，至今已有600多年。鲲头的先民则是明宣德六年（公元1431年）自莆田县巷头村迁来，浦边则于公元1184年从彩塘迁来。[2]

建国初，村子与五更陇合并为「新华乡」。此后，它在1956年划入高厦乡，两年后又归沙溪乡。1961年起独立为高楼大队，1964年一度与高二合并，1974年再度分开。1983年为高楼乡，1987年改称高楼村。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

高楼原名「潭沟涝」。相传村子地势低洼，四面溪流环绕，只有一条小路通往山边，村子状似「水抛铃」生在深潭之中，故得此名。后因村中建起了雄伟的楼房，陈姓为主，又称「陈高楼」。[2]

地理与经济[edit]

村中耕地940亩，山地400亩，池塘与溪涧合计30亩；共1869人，住400户。以农业为主，作物有水稻、地瓜、柑桔、花生、黄红麻、甘蔗和马铃薯。马铃薯产量高，每亩收获2000斤左右。[2]

现时村中种生柑170亩，另在东莞承包种植。1985年的纯收入为612969元，人均328．30元。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2021年12月，村子获广东省爱卫会授予「2021年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
