辜厝村是潮安区金石镇下辖的行政村，位于镇区东南约3.5千米处，由辜厝（大寨辜）和南埔黄（大路顶黄）两个自然村组成，辜姓为主姓，此外有黄、洪、庄、吴等姓。村民以木器制作为传统产业，素有「鲁班工艺之乡」之称。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

宋淳熙元年（1174年），辜氏先祖由福建莆田迁居桑浦山王埔肚，后因地僻人稀，迁到现址，以姓氏为村名，至今已有八百多年。1958年以村名命名「辜厝大队」，1999年改称辜厝村民委员会。[1][2]

产业[edit]

木器制品为村中传统产业。改革开放后，村民在传统工艺基础上结合现代设计，木器家具行业带动油漆、五金、不锈钢和商贸等行业发展，现从事家具行业的企业有一百多家，大多具备规模化生产能力。[2]

文物[edit]

辜厝村有「天褒节孝」石牌坊。博雅地名网的村条目称其为「辜厝天褒节孝坊」，2020年4月16日被公布为第四批潮州市文物保护单位；其景点条目则列「金石天褒节孝牌坊」为广东省文物保护单位。[1][4]

太卿第为明太常寺正卿辜朝荐的府第，坐南朝北，两进格局，面宽20米、进深32.4米，府内悬挂清代牌匾两块。2012年，太卿第列入潮州市文物保护单位名录。[3]

辜朝荐（1598年—1668年），字在公，出生于海阳县大寨，即今辜厝村，明末清初大臣。[5]

2020年9月，辜厝村列入「2020年淘宝村」名单。2021年10月，辜厝村列入「2021年淘宝村」名单。2022年10月，辜厝村列入「2022年淘宝村」名单。[1]
