潘厝村是潮安区金石镇下辖的行政村，位于镇区西北约0.5千米处。村由潘厝（昔称西林潘）、前山、石门（昔称蔡厝）和黄斗陇四个自然村组成，各村均创建于宋末，村民的先祖都从福建莆田迁来。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1958年以主村名称编为「潘厝大队」，1999年起改设潘厝村民委员会。[1]
人物[edit]
据博雅地名网，石门村人蔡大用于明嘉靖十四年中进士，后授御史之职。潘厝村人潘璘也是本村先贤，历任泉州府通判、沾益州知州，时在明嘉靖二十八年。[2]
经济[edit]
村民种植龙眼、加工龙眼肉干，村子是潮州市的龙眼肉生产基地。成品销往国内的北京、上海、广州，海外则到香港、新加坡和马来西亚一带。改革开放后，锡箔加工、服装加工、建筑、塑料制品和副食品加工等村办企业兴起。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，潘厝村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。2020年9月，潘厝村列入「2020年淘宝村」名单。2021年10月，潘厝村列入「2021年淘宝村」名单。2022年10月，潘厝村列入「2022年淘宝村」名单。[1]
