黄潭村是登塘镇下辖的行政村，位于镇的南部。村子东接横洋村，对面是田东村，西南邻近世田二级电厂。[1][2][3]
村子又名黄淡村。清康熙年间，陈氏来此定居时，已有张、李、杨、管等姓聚居。村前溪床中有一处深潭，周围多黄色石头，村名因此而来。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
原属田东大队。1972年，村里以村名设黄潭大队；1999年，改设黄潭村民委员会。[1]
土地革命战争时期，村中组织过农民赤卫队。当年赤卫队的一面旗帜，如今收藏在潮州市博物馆。[2]
经济[edit]
耕地143亩，土质属半沙土，主种水稻、甘薯和花生。山地7700亩，以杉、松、木黎为主。1949年后多次兴修水利，村间一条长1.5公里的沟渠环绕，受益农田150亩。[2]
2020年8月，黄潭村以茶叶入选首批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单。[1]
据百度百科，村内的唐炫菠萝生态园占地约1.8万平方米，2023年开放当年便接待游客近两万人次。[3]
