关竹村是登塘镇下辖的行政村，位于西山溪北岸，北面约1公里处是飞鹅山，东南距登塘墟约2.5公里。[1][2][3]

村名来自溪南一座已经毁坏的「关竹」古庵。村子创于清初，先由谢姓建乡，后来陈、杨等姓迁入，现以杨姓居多。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年，关竹与白水曾合编为白水大队；1974年，以主村名成立关竹大队；1999年，村子改设关竹村民委员会。[1][3]

1983年后，关竹村辖有仙家村。仙家村的旧址在五指山南坡，因地处山地被称作山家，后迁到西山溪北岸，改称雅名仙家。清初由蓝姓首先建村，此后蓝姓有人外迁，苏、杨两姓迁入定居。[2]

人口与经济[edit]

耕地487亩，主产水稻、甘薯和甘蔗；山地种杉、松、竹、茶和什果。[1][2]

1983年，村里架起石板桥横跨西溪，与安丰公路接通。[1]

文化[edit]

村子于2025年开始编制《关竹村乡村布局规划》。2022年，关竹村被列为广东省乡村治理示范村的创建单位。[1][3]

1985年，在校小学生有149人，入学率92.8%。2026年3月，关竹村被认定为「广东省第三批“百千万工程”典型村镇」；2023年4月，「2022年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位名单公布，关竹村在列。[1]
