东寮村是登塘镇下辖的行政村，地处蜈蚣岭山脉鸡笼山的东侧，村名由此而来。村子西南距登塘墟约3公里，北面与蜈蚣岭、飞鹅山相连。[1][2]
村中居民全为邱姓，由长美村迁入，与下林村、凤岗埔村同属长美邱姓所建的「三乡」。村内辖有新村、群安村两个聚落。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
村子创于清康熙年间（公元1662~1722年）。1999年，村子改设东寮村民委员会。[1]
新村原址位于横田水库库区，原名芋粥田，后称横田村，清初创乡，村民有陈、李、雷、江等姓。1969年，因修建横田水库，村民分散迁往新村和群安村。[2]
群安村1957年由横田村彭姓迁入后建成。1983年以后，新村和群安村都划归东寮村管辖。[2]
经济[edit]
东寮村有耕地413亩，主种水稻、甘薯和甘蔗；山地出产松木、茶叶和菠萝，主要收入靠茶叶与菠萝。[2]
文化[edit]
2026年3月，东寮村被认定为「广东省第三批“百千万工程”典型村镇」。2020年12月，村子获广东省爱卫会授予的「2020年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
