三新乡村是登塘镇下辖的行政村，距登塘墟约2公里，东北面与古巷镇双门坑村相接。[1][2]

村子是清光绪三年（1877年）由长美邱姓族人迁来后建立的。最初叫新乡，1982年因与别村重名，才改为现名。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1999年，三新乡改称三新乡村民委员会。[1]

经济[edit]

村子以农业为主，产水稻、甘薯和甘蔗；山地发展茶叶、生柑、菠萝等经济作物。村西有天然泉水井。[2]

文化[edit]

2025年，村子获得「第七届全国文明村镇」称号。博雅地名网记为2025年3月，百度百科记为2025年5月，两说不一。[1][2]

2026年1月，村子获评「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」。2022年8月，被确定为「2022年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位；2023年4月，列入「2022年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位名单。[1]

村内建有党建文化公园、书香园等文化阵地。[2]
