林妈陂一村是登塘镇下辖的行政村，与林妈陂二村合称林妈陂村。林妈陂村分为林一、林二两部分，历史上本是一个村。[2]
村名来自明代的一对林家母女。她们在林二的高地定居，修筑土陂蓄水，村子由此得名。博雅地名网记其创乡于明代嘉靖年间。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
创乡之初先有林姓，之后迁入高、刘二姓。清顺治三年，李姓从福建莆田迁到溪北定居，郑、张二姓也陆续迁入溪南。今村内有李、郑、张、潘、王、陈六姓，其中李、郑两姓人口最多。[2]
1958年公社化时，本村属林妈陂大队；1959年按数序改称林妈陂一大队；1999年才改设林妈陂一村民委员会。[1]
经济与文化[edit]
耕地985亩，人口1790人（2006年12月数据）。[2]
1985年村中小学在校生406人，适龄儿童入学率达94%。村子属于革命老苏区。[2]
