笔埔村是登塘镇下辖的行政村，位于登塘墟西南约1.5公里处，村西有白云溪横穿而过。[1][2][3]
村名的来历是：村右一山伸向平原，形似毛笔；村前低洼处积水，形如砚台，故名笔埔。村子始建于宋代，创乡时有王、廖、严等姓，现只留下严姓。[2][3]
历史沿革[edit]
1958年以村名设笔埔大队，1963年并入由白云、杨美等村合成的大队，1974年分出后恢复笔埔大队的名称，1999年改为笔埔村民委员会。[1]
经济[edit]
村民以农业为主，种植水稻和甘薯。山坡上种有大量生柑、茶叶和杂果，其中生柑最为出名，1986年总产量达35万斤。[2][3]
2021年起村里整治土地，把35亩撂荒地改造成油菜花景观，并发展蒸粿条、土窑鸡等小吃；还引进农业企业，使275亩土地实现集中流转。[3]
文化[edit]
1977年在凤地山坡建起小学，1985年首办幼儿园，村内也建成了自来水工程，水塔高18米。[2]
2020年12月，广东省爱卫会授予笔埔村「2020年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
