锡岗村位于古巷镇政府驻地东北约2.1千米，属广东省潮州市潮安区古巷镇，为城乡结合区中的一个行政村[1][2]。村中以连、张、陆、蔡、郭五姓居民为主[1][2]。

地名与源流[edit]

村庄创建于明朝末年。周围丘陵起伏，地下蕴藏锡矿，因此取名锡岗[1][2]。1976年以村名设「锡岗大队」，1999年改称锡岗村民委员会，此名沿用至今[1]。

人口与产业[edit]

村中人口1280人，博雅地名网与百度百科记载相同，均未注统计年份[1][2]。

耕地714亩，以种植水稻为主，并养殖塘鱼，洋葡萄、菠萝、橄榄均有出产。约六成半劳力从事二、三产业，集体与个体企业共15家，以陶瓷、彩瓷等工业为主[1]。
