地名由来[edit]
明朝初年，福建莆田的张氏迁来此地创村。因村址是平原，却比周围稍高，且地面多坎，故名崎头。村中多张姓，又称崎头张[1][2]。
人口与产业[edit]
博雅地名网记人口819人，其中非农人口704人，未注统计年份[1]。
村内原有耕地三百多亩，因修建潮州火车站，大部分被征用，只剩25亩。约一成劳力从事二、三产业，主要有制砖、陶瓷等工业[1]。
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，该村入选「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单[1]。2020年9月、2021年10月与2022年10月，该村三次被列入淘宝村名单[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
1977年，此前属枫洋三大队的一片地方拆队，以村名设「崎头大队」；1999年改为崎头村民委员会，此名沿用至今[1]。
