宫头村是湘桥区官塘镇下辖的行政村，位于北溪西岸，距镇政府驻地东南约2.8千米。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
宋代，李氏由福建延平府迁入定居；明初村落成形。[2] 村名取自村内的霖田古庙，潮语称庙为「宫」。[2]
博雅地名网记：1987年设村民委员会，1989年设管理区委员会，1999年又设村委会。[1]
2019年9月，宫头村入选2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
村内霖田古庙为宋代所建，现状保存良好，建筑与占地面积各为150平方米。[2]
