宜园社区位于广东省潮州市湘桥区，隶属凤新街道，地处新老市区之间的结合部。2024年7月26日，原社区被拆分为宜园社区和泰安社区。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

社区于2004年设立居民委员会。[2] 百度百科记其成立于2004年3月。[1]

辖区与人口[edit]

拆分之前，该社区管辖38个住宅小区，另有一座电器城；常住人口约1.8万人，在街道里算大型社区。[1]

拆分后，社区东以圆顶路、春花路与侨中桥为界，南边到潮枫路，西边是新洋路，北边是凤园路，常住人口约9000人。[1]

2024年拆分[edit]

为更好地服务居民、缓解管理压力，2024年7月26日宜园社区被拆分为宜园与泰安两个社区。[1] 人民网2024年10月28日的报道说，此举旨在提升超过万人社区的治理效能，同期凤新街道的万绿社区也作了相似的分拆。[3]
