兆龙社区位于小榄镇东南约9公里处，毗邻105国道、中江高速和西环高速。辖区面积3.57平方公里，区内的自然村有兆隆、新丰与镇南三个，共设12个居民小组。区内有朝阳花地、尚誉名筑等6个商住小区，并设有兆隆小学。[1]

社区名称的来历：此地原有兆隆社坛，村因之得名兆隆。改制之际，因“隆”与“龙”读音相近，村名遂改为兆龙，改制在2001年11月进行。2026年3月，社区被认定为「广东省第三批百千万工程典型村镇」；2022年9月，又被认定为「2022年度第一批中山市绿色社区」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

此地原属乌沙大队。1961年，乌沙大队一分为五，兆隆即其中之一。1964年，兆隆、新丰、镇南三个大队合并为兆隆大队，隶属小榄区。[1]

1968至1970年间曾用保红大队之名，之后恢复兆隆大队的名称。1986年设兆隆村委会，隶属东升镇。[1]
