裕民社区位于市区中心西北约16.6公里，105国道穿境而过，东面靠中江高速与广珠西线，西南临广珠城轨，北面临小榄水道。土地面积4.2平方公里，驻地在志和村。辖区内有裕安、草围、仁和等围或村落。[1]

社区名称由两个围的名字各取首字而成，分别是裕安围与民田界。2026年3月，社区被认定为「广东省第三批百千万工程典型村镇」；2022年9月，又被认定为「2022年度第一批中山市绿色社区」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

此地早先归高沙一大队。1961年设裕民大队，1984年改称裕民乡，1986年改为裕民村委会，划归东升镇。2001年8月，改为社区居民委员会。[1]

据博雅地名网，社区于2021年6月并入小榄镇；镇级撤并的正式日期则是2021年7月19日，两说不同。[1][2]
