小榄镇在中山市北部，北面与佛山市顺德区均安镇相邻，东南连着沙溪镇、西区街道和港口镇。2021年7月19日，原小榄镇与东升镇同时撤销，合并组成如今的小榄镇，镇域面积147.29平方千米，下设23个社区和6个行政村。[1][2][4]

这里以菊花闻名，清代已有以菊为主题的花会；五金、电子电器等产业在中山颇具规模，对全市经济的贡献连续两年居首。[4]

历史沿革[edit]

秦汉之际，大榄与小榄所在的海滨一带已是要地，归南海郡管辖。隋唐时属南海县，宋代这里叫永宁乡潮居里。[5]

绍兴二十二年即1152年，香山设县，这一带随之并入香山，当时称宁安乡。明朝洪武十四年，大榄与小榄分开，两地合称大榄都。[5]

“小榄”之名，据博雅地名网所述，源于南宋咸淳十年（1274年）先民迁居此地时，见山丘形似橄榄。维基百科则把来历与南雄珠玑巷的南迁联系起来。[2][3]

清光绪六年（1880年）改名榄镇，其中小榄一段叫榄乡；到了宣统二年（1910年）归第三区管辖。1923年即民国十二年，香山县第三区的榄乡沿用了“小榄镇”的名字，这被视为建镇的开始。1952年11月，小榄改为区级镇。[5]

1986年12月，小榄镇得以保留；原小榄区划出的8个乡另立鸡笼镇（1987年3月改名东升镇），其余16个乡仍归小榄镇。[5]

小榄是中山北部的工业与商业重镇。2024年，全镇生产总值录得586.4亿元，增速5.7%；2025年约为610亿元，增速5.1%。[1][4]

镇内规模以上工业企业有1023家，市场主体超过11.4万户，上市公司7家，包括华帝、长青、木林森等。产业门类涵盖五金制品、电子电器、化工胶粘与办公家具，小榄先后获得「中国五金制品产业基地」「中国办公家具重镇」「中国智能锁产业基地」等称号。[4]

据维基百科，2002年时锁具业占全镇一半的生产量，约有3万人从业；近十几年，电子音响行业兴起，相关企业超过百家。[2]

小榄人爱养菊，菊花会的历史很长。博雅地名网的菊城金瓣一页说，清嘉庆十九年，当地十多个菊社合办了首届菊花会，并约定每甲子举办一次，新中国成立后改为十年一届。1959年，小榄为庆祝建国十周年办了共和国成立后的首届菊会，此后「菊城」之称渐渐传开。镇概况一页则称，1917年孙中山先生已誉小榄为「菊城」，两页所述年代不同，此处并存。[4][9]

1994年的菊花会，展出菊花逾82万盆、品种1568个，是历史上规模最大的一届。[2][9]

镇内有市级以上非物质文化遗产11项，其中国家级1项，省级3项；花灯、刺绣、陶艺、洪拳、剪纸、粤剧、咸水歌、舞龙舞狮等项目都有传习和展演。小榄还被称为中国书法之乡和中国菊艺之乡。[4]

小榄话归于粤语沙田话一类，与顺德话相近。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

双美桥在新市社区一带，为单孔石拱桥。桥面约长18.5米，宽3.16米，拱高4.5米。这座桥始建于明代洪武元年（1368年），此后又有三次重修，分在明嘉靖年间、清康熙年间和道光年间，道光二十年即1840年。2019年，它被列为第九批广东省文物保护单位。[6][7]

小榄镇人民公园在镇中心。1949年以后，当地政府把这一带辟建为公园，园中设有凤凰台、凤液池，并有亭台楼阁，颇具岭南园林风格。公园山岗上是「小榄革命烈士陵园」，占地约1.63万平方米，埋葬着为革命和抗日牺牲的60名烈士。[8]

市级文物保护单位中，舜举何公祠位于积厚街，始建于明代万历年间。此祠在1711年（清康熙五十年）经过一次修整，1990年被公布为市级文物保护单位。[10]仆射何家祠位于云路街，建于清同治癸酉年（1873年），原为三进，1960年前进被拆，现存中、后两进。[11]

跃龙桥所在的地段在跃龙街与西凌大街之间，建造可追溯到明末。乾隆十三年（1748年），何绍宇发起修葺；道光七年（1827年），李翰书等人又主持重修。桥为双孔石梁桥。[12]凤山西坡近山顶处立有小榄革命烈士纪念碑，1959年建成，用以纪念在革命斗争中牺牲的烈士。[13]
