外沙村是广东省中山市神湾镇下辖的行政村，位于镇的北部，北面连接板芙镇，东面邻接三乡镇，隔江与珠海市斗门区相望，距中山市城区约20.3千米。[1][2]村名来自此处原为西江口外淤积成的沙滩，村委会驻地也因此而名。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1958年，此地设外沙大队；1961年分设外沙、枕头角、藕围3个大队；1985年设外沙乡，1987年改设外沙村委会；1991年改设外沙管理区；2002年起恢复为村民委员会的建制，名称沿用至今。[1]
地理与人口[edit]
村域总面积12.8平方千米，耕地6500亩，下辖16个村民小组，离镇政府4.7千米。[1][2]博雅地名网载，至2011年底常住人口4591人。[2]百度百科载，村域面积为13.17平方千米。[3]
经济[edit]
村内厂企五十余家，流动人口约3800人，另有出租屋约800间（均为2011年数据）。[2]2011年，村一级集体收入过了300万元，村组两级集体经济收入则为1400万元。[2]村里建成了一批18000平方米的物业厂房，并发展花木种植，沿古神公路完成了2700亩花木「绿色长廊」；另在养殖上以南美白对虾和脆肉鲩为主。[2]百度百科载，2023年村集体经营性收入为1964万元。[3]
枕头角碉楼[edit]
枕头角碉楼建于1839年。据百度百科，1941年它曾是中共五区武装中队的驻地，也是一处交通联络点。[3]
荣誉[edit]
2005年、2006年8月，村先后被评为中山市卫生村、广东省卫生村；2007年至2009年间，村曾获「中山市文明村」称号。[2]2019年9月，村入选「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单。[1]2019年12月，外沙村获评「全国乡村治理示范村」。[1][3]2022年10月，村列入2022年淘宝村名单。[1]2026年3月，村被认定为广东省第三批「百千万工程」典型村镇。[1]
