历史沿革[edit]
博雅地名网记明代初（1368年）称南村。百度百科则说，村子在明洪武初年已用南村之名，清康熙元年（1662年）才迁到现在的位置。[1][3]
民国38年（1949年）此地为旗山乡，1951年改设旗南乡，1961年复称南村。2001年，南村、石井、全禄三个自然村合并为旗南村，并成立旗南村委会；2014年石井与全禄各自改为社区，村委会只余南村。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
村内农业人口约4234多人，外来流动人口约7000多人。[1][2]
百度百科记2015年底户籍人口为2648人。[3]
村集体经济靠物业楼和工业厂房增收：南村物业楼于2008年建成，卫生站物业楼于2009年建成，全禄工业厂房于2010年建成。[2]
名胜与公共设施[edit]
百度百科称，村内现存华光庙、文武庙、星君庙和天后庙4座传统庙宇。[3]
村内设有旗南小学、幼儿园、篮球场和老人活动中心。[2][3]
荣誉[edit]
2001年，村庄获「广东省卫生村」称号；2007至2009年度被评为「文明村」；2019年9月，村庄列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单。[1][2][3]
