起凤环社区是广东省中山市大涌镇下辖的社区，位于镇政府西北约3.6千米处，西南与叠石村相邻，东南接青岗社区，西北靠横栏镇横西七村。[1][3]
社区占地2.3平方千米，居民约1150人；旅居港澳台及海外的乡亲2500多人，是侨乡。[2]
地名由来与历史沿革[edit]
据该村《李氏族谱》，大岚李族第六世祖李云翠于明宣德五年（1430年）自岚田迁来，当时村名竹仔林村，村中土地庙称“竹林社”。清道光初年改称起凤环。[1][2]
1690年后立村，称竹仔林新村。此后，1952年与青岗合为旗北乡，1958年分出另立新村大队，1983年底恢复起凤环村之名。[1]
2002年，起凤环与叠石合组旗北村委会；2014年，起凤环脱离旗北村委会，另设起凤环社区居民委员会。[1][2]
姓氏与祠堂[edit]
村中以李姓居多，另有何、罗、张、邓、黄、陈、林、余、高等姓氏。[2]
村内原有三间李姓宗祠。祠堂仔毁于20世纪50年代；配岳李公祠在新中国成立后用作粮仓；德友祠1979年一度改作玩具厂，1996年后空置。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，社区列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单；2022年9月，社区被认定为「2022年度第一批中山市绿色社区」。[1]
