地名与沿革[edit]
村名的历史可以上溯到宋代。南宋咸淳元年（1265年）时，已有人家迁到这里定居。原名长沙埔，民国时期因环山临海湾的地势改名深湾。[1]
据博雅地名网，清道光初期（1821至1826年），今深湾一带统辖的15个自然村，包括白溪、里溪、月角与分花水。之后白溪、里溪与月角先后划出；1958年一度分为深湾、新围和果园3个大队，1963年又合并；1998年设立村委会，沿用至今。[2]
古建筑[edit]
村内古旧建筑近200座，中西合璧的建筑风格显著，市级历史建筑中有沙冈学校和市亭。[1]
侨乡与经济[edit]
深湾小学、幼儿园与同方医院都设在村内。村里计划活化利用侨房，发展文化和旅游产业。[1]
传统经济以农业为主，现已转向鞋业、服装及小五金加工。2010年村集体总收入881.5万元。[1]
企业140余家在村内落户。集体经济按股份制分红，村里也配合「澳门科技大学（中山校区）」的建设，推动产业转型。[1]
