地名与沿革[edit]
清道光初年，顺德梁氏族人迁来开垦，此前这里是清初淤积而成的沙洲。村名因地形狭长如木板，又处于隆镇南端，故有此名。[1]
博雅地名网的沿革为：1950年称板尾村；1953年，板尾与芙蓉合并为板芙乡，乡名取两地首字；1961年分出，复称板尾。1986年，板尾村委会成立；此后设板尾管理区（1990年）；1998年，村委会重新分设，沿用至今。[2]
河涌与村貌[edit]
板尾涌由北往南穿过村庄，途经木围水闸后抵达板芙中学桥头，全长约1.8千米，多数河段宽30米以上。[1]
改革开放前，村内多为泥路，板尾涌是货物运输的主要通道。村民沿河两岸建屋，每家在河边设有埗头，用于取水、洗刷和船只靠岸。[1]
经济[edit]
据百度百科，村里的土地以发包方式用于花木种植，另有212亩用于养殖南美白对虾，并兼养四大家鱼。[1]
博雅地名网称，村内土地约4350亩，种植与养殖分别占2450亩和1900亩，养殖以南美白对虾、鱼类为主，村里没有工业，条目未注明年份。[2]
百度百科称村域面积约5400亩，户籍754人（2015年），常住3693人；博雅地名网则称常住704户、共3270人。两者数字不同，年份也未统一。[1][2]
