历史沿革[edit]
博雅地名网记，清康熙末年建村，原名长埔；乾隆初年，因村民多姓肖，改称肖家村。明代（1573年至1619年间），马姓人自沙涌迁来，在山崖下挖出大塘，村名称“塘磡”，又称“唐磡”，清代写作塘敢。[1]
1949年以前这里属东桂乡。1958年独立为塘敢大队，1983年与东二、西山合并，又并入东桂乡。1986年12月分出，改为塘敢管理区，1988年8月改为村民委员会。2001年底，与西山、前陇合并为东桂村。[1]
人口民族[edit]
2012年，全村273户，人口987人，外来人口5000多人。[1]
经济[edit]
村里盛产白萝卜，上世纪80年代初远销香港、澳门。人均全年收入16457元，全村2012年总收入321万元。[1]
文化[edit]
抗战时期，此地是中山抗日根据地之一。博雅地名网称，1944年5月28日日伪进犯，游击队抵抗，12名队员因弹尽援绝而牺牲，被称为“塘敢十二勇士”。百度百科则记为1945年5月28日，12名队员抗击日军，其中8人牺牲。两种记载的年份和死者人数不同，此处都予以记录。[1][2]
