平岚东村位于三乡镇南侧，总面积约4平方千米，紧邻105国道，金涌大道、金谷大道在村中穿过。村内设10个村民小组，外来流动人口超过两万。博雅地名网在其网页上称之为平东村。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1992年，村里在全镇率先进行土地股份制改造，成为广东省的规划示范村。村庄规划由市规划设计院编制，遵循规划先行、分期实施、节约用地和尊重村民意愿的原则，土地统一规划、统一开发。2009年，村委会的架构调整为社区事务、经营发展、财务管理和行政管理四个中心，并设立“一站式”窗口服务站；2012年该站获评中山市青年文明号。[1][2]
经济[edit]
集体收入以物业租赁为主，出租的物业约8.8万平方米。村里成立了房地产开发公司，自主开发项目，也与大型房地产企业合作开发。截至2012年底，村内有近100家企业，工业年产值超过9亿元。[2]
文化[edit]
平东有“三六九”圩、花鸟虫鱼街和迎春花市，是当地的商贸与民俗场所。村里建有农家书屋、灯光球场，组建了篮球队、妇女健身队和曲艺社。[2]
