圩仔社区位于三乡镇中部，属主城区，是全镇的政治与文化中心，面积约3.5平方千米。社区的名称来自清代的圩市：道光年间已设圩仔市，光绪初年与乌石圩合并，俗称圩仔街。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1953年此处称圩仔镇，属乡级建制；1958年成为三乡公社下的圩仔镇。1983年设圩仔居委会，归三乡区公所管辖；1987年划归三乡镇管辖；2002年起改为圩仔社区居委会的体制，一直延续到今天。[1]

人口民族[edit]

社区户籍人口约9400人，下辖5个居民小组和10多个居住小区，另有流动人口约1.5万人。[2]

经济[edit]

社区内商业活跃，华丰商业街、顺昌广场和壹加壹商业大厦是镇里的商业重地。区内居住小区与酒店餐饮集中，学校、医疗、银行和超市等配套较全。[2]

文化[edit]

社区获得过全国妇联基层建设示范社区的称号，也被评为中山市文明社区。2022年9月，社区被评为中山市绿色社区，属当年度的第一批。[1][2]
