三乡镇在广东省中山市南部，东南面与珠海市相接，南邻坦洲镇，西面与神湾镇、板芙镇为界，北靠五桂山街道。全镇面积93.61平方千米，辖5个社区和12个行政村，镇政府设在景观大道1号。镇名取自境内历史上平岚、乌石、桥头三处聚居点。近年来，三乡以产业园区建设和农文旅融合为主要发展方向。[1][2]
历史沿革[edit]
宋代这里隶属东莞县的文顺乡，建香山县后归丰乐乡。明朝叫谷字都，光绪年间改称谷镇。宣统二年（1910年）归第五区管辖。民国十九年（1930年）设南乡区，翌年又恢复第五区的建制，下分三乡、五岳、崇正、东桂四个乡。[4]
1955年称平岚区；1957年析出神湾，改称三乡乡；1961年神湾公社并入后归三乡区。1963年恢复三乡公社的名称，并将神湾、板芙分出。1974年，山区一带划为山区建设指挥部管理。1983年恢复三乡区，直到1986年12月才改成镇。[1][4]
地理环境[edit]
全镇四周为山地，山地面积约40平方千米；中部平坦，南部偏东一带属冲积平原。全镇最高处是白水林山，海拔473米，在全市山峰中位居第二。茅湾涌自东部纵贯全镇，长11公里，105国道穿过境内。[5]
人口民族[edit]
2024年末常住人口约25.4万人。户籍人口为9.1万上下，另有约6万名港澳台同胞和旅居海外的侨胞。[1][2]
经济[edit]
2024年地区生产总值201.13亿元，较上年增长3.1%。镇内市场主体超过3.4万家，规模以上工业企业262家，另有高新技术企业120家。中山三乡产业园区被认定为省级产业园，依托低效工业园改造，累计整备土地超过2043亩。[1][3]
2025年，三乡在全国千强镇中排第234位，在全国镇域经济500强中列第102位，在广东镇域经济百强中列第41位。2026年5月，三乡入选省里首批现代化建设中心镇的名单。[2]
文化[edit]
三乡濑粉是当地传统名食，用优质粘米调成粉浆，蒸成细长而有韧性的条状粉品。三乡小炒、三乡茶果、三乡豆捞等风味也很有地方特色。全镇有52处不可移动文物和3个市级非遗项目。[2][3]
镇内先后获得国家卫生镇、国家生态文明示范镇的称号，又被列入全国特色景观旅游名镇，并称中国最美村镇。2018年又重新确认了国家卫生县城（乡镇）资格。2020年，中国互联网新闻中心授予「新时代·中国最美休闲旅游小镇」「新时代·中国文旅融合创新示范镇」称号。[1][2]
名胜古迹[edit]
泉林山庄位于南龙社区境内白水林山下，占地约600亩，是大型综合旅游度假区。[6][10]
雍陌村的郑观应故居、中山温泉和雍陌石板路，见雍陌村条目；古鹤村的乐善好施牌坊和日东祠，见古鹤村条目。乐善好施牌坊为清光绪八年（1882年）建成的花岗岩石牌坊。[6][8][9]
著名人物[edit]
郑观应（1842年－1921年，另一说为1922年）出生于雍陌村，是近代启蒙思想家、实业家，著有《盛世危言》。[7]
吴铁城（1888年－1953年）是大布村平湖人。[2]
