阜东村位于阜沙镇中部偏西。1989年，广东省老区建设委员会将该村列为「抗日游击区」，村庄因此享有革命老区村的政策待遇。[1]
地理[edit]
村民委员会驻东阜公路张字号路段，距阜沙镇政府1.5公里，东距中山城区15.5公里。村的东面接阜沙村，西面接牛角村，北面隔罗松皮河与罗松村相望。[1]
村内有大小河涌8条，总长9.07公里。村下辖张字号、寒字号、掘尾河三个自然村，总面积2.06平方公里，设10个村民小组。[1]
人口[edit]
村内户籍734户，户籍人口2834人，外来及暂住人口831人。博雅地名网未注明这组数字的年份。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1957年，此处属阜沙乡牛角村。到1958年，它被编入黄圃公社的阜沙耕作区，作为该区的第三生产营；1961年，该营一分为四，设为牛一至牛四四个大队。[1]
1966年，牛三大队改称东升大队，归阜沙公社管辖。1981年，全国地名普查时发现本市境内共有4个东升大队，本村于是改名阜东大队。[1]
1984年，本村设为阜东乡，归阜沙区；1988年起称阜东村委会，此名延续至今。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2026年1月，阜东村获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
