历史沿革[edit]
清代中叶，顺德人迁来此地立村，起初称沙栏[1]。1950年一度改称爱群村，1958年析为爱群、八涌、西宁三个大队；1963年三者重组，村名又回到爱群；1981年变为爱民大队[1]。博雅地名网的沿革表记2001年爱民、合作两村合为沙栏村委会，其概况则说是2002年[1][2]。
革命历史[edit]
1957年，省政府把合作片（西桠涌）核定为革命老区。1989年10月，本村获「解放战争游击根据地」称号，在三角镇3个革命老区村中居其一[2]。
经济[edit]
村域以农业为主，耕作规模约5806亩，其中鱼塘约4617亩。农作物以粉葛、青皮冬瓜、香蕉和火龙果为主，水产以生鱼、泥鳅、甲鱼、四大家鱼为主[2]。2020年，本村因生鱼（杂交鳢）养殖突出，获省级「一村一品」专业村的认定[2]。2024年村级集体收入约144.6万元[2]。
荣誉[edit]
2024年1月，本村被确定为「2023年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」[1]。2023年4月，又出现在「2022年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位的名单里[1]。2002年以来，村里还获得「广东省文明村」「广东省卫生村」「中山市生态示范村」等称号[2]。
