金斗社区是坦洲镇下辖的社区，2005年8月设立居民委员会，辖区以商住小区为主。[1]

社区名称源于坦洲镇自古以来「金斗湾」的美誉。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

1998年，金斗居委会因已购房的外来人口入户难题而设，下辖汇翠山庄、金山城、中珠城三个小区。2001年区划调整时它被撤销，2005年又重新组建为金斗社区居委会，沿用至今。[2]

设立之初主要为了安置代耕农的入户事宜。后来镇内商住楼盘多起来，管理商住小区、办理新中山人的户口接收成了现实需要，如今社区下辖36个商住小区。[1]

文化[edit]

党组织的历程是：2015年成立党支部，2020年12月改为党总支，至2022年7月再升为党委。[1]
