冈东村是广东省中山市古镇镇下辖的行政村，位于镇中心城区的南部。它的四邻：东面是曹三村，西面是七坊村，南面是冈南村，北面是六坊村。[1][3]

地理环境[edit]

村北的大冈山海拔41.9米，是全镇最高点，山地以紫红色砾岩为主。古代此地是海边的边防地带，如今大冈山是村民清明祭祖的场所。[3]

人口民族[edit]

百度百科记面积约3.73平方千米，常住人口超过7000人；博雅地名网记常住人口6052人、1421户，两者年份未注，此处并存。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

据百度百科，南宋淳熙年间此地已有人定居。1950年一度分作八坊与九坊，1954年并为冈东，1986年定下现在的建制。[3]

经济[edit]

改革开放后，村里依靠科学规划发展工业园区。博雅地名网记第二、第三和美利围三个工业区共737亩，百度百科则称这几个工业小区合计430亩，两说并存。[2][3]
