历史沿革[edit]
此地先后有顺德县及本市黄圃、小榄等地的人迁来定居，修筑了天成、永顺与保生三座围。1958年，几座围与吉昌合并为和平大队，1964年分出，改用如今的名字。[1][3]
新中国成立后，这里称和平乡，隶第九区凤鸣乡。1953年和平乡连同吉昌一起划入第七区；1957年改为东凤乡和平村，下辖4个农业合作社。1961年吉昌分出后，和平剩下13个生产队。1974年成为东凤公社下的和平大队。1980年起用东和平之名，1983年改设东凤区东和平乡，1986年为东凤镇东和平村委会，1989年设管理区，1998年恢复村委会名称。[3]
地理环境[edit]
村辖区面积约4100亩，东阜公路西北端接广珠公路。外来人口约6000人，其中包括穗茵庭小区的居民。[1][2]
经济[edit]
村内设富华、顺发、顺宏等工业园，工业用地共1100多亩，大小厂企234家，规模以上企业36家。主要产业为小家电制造、五金制品与印刷制品。[2]
文化[edit]
广东省爱国卫生运动委员会授予村庄「广东省卫生村」称号，东凤镇政府也评定其为文明村，并连续多年获评征兵工作先进单位。2021年10月与2022年10月，东和平村先后上榜淘宝村名单；2026年3月，被认定为「广东省第三批百千万工程典型村镇」。[1][2]
