伯公社区处在东凤镇中心区，所在的沙洲形成于元末。其名来自一则传说：有位老人家曾在此摆渡，粤语里称老人为「伯公」，沙洲因此得名伯公沙。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
清乾隆末年，顺德、南海与本市小榄的廖、黎、吴、何、刘等姓人家陆续迁入，修筑丰裕、永安等围，又设起社坛，沙名因而沿用。[2][3]
这里1951年归第三区东海乡，称伯公村；其后历经乡制与公社的改动。1983年为东凤区伯公乡，1986年成为东凤镇伯公村民委员会，1998年恢复村委会名称，2013年才设立伯公居委会。[4]
地理环境[edit]
社区交通便利，G105国道、凤翔大道、广中江高速公路与南沙港铁路穿过辖区。辖区面积约2.98平方千米，分4个片区，划为10个综合网格。[3]
人口民族[edit]
社区内设18个居民小区，户籍人口5224人，流动人口约4万人。百度百科另记常住人口约4.5万人，年份未注。[2][3][1]
经济[edit]
辖内商业楼盘有12个。百度百科称企业超300家，多为家用电器与五金制品类，规模以上企业9家。[1][3]
文化[edit]
社区保留了文武庙与龙母庙等建筑，并延续龙船洗涌等民俗。社区曾被评为广东省文明村，获「全省民主法治示范村」称号，也是全国综合减灾示范社区。[1][3]
2021年12月，社区被认定为「2021年度中山市绿色社区」；2024年1月，被确定为「2023年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」。[2]
