华照村位于南朗街道东北部，距南朗镇政府6公里，下辖岐山、林溪、麻东、麻西、十顷5个村民小组，村名取自中共中山县委首任书记李华照烈士[1][2]。

历史沿革[edit]

1952年，华照乡成立，由岐山、林溪、麻东、麻西与十顷五个自然村并成，乡政府设在麻西[3]。

1958年撤乡，分为5个大队；1963年并为华照大队；1984年复设华照乡；1987年撤乡，分出岐山、林溪、麻东、麻西四个村委会。1992年十顷划入，1998年分设5个村委会；2002年，五个村委会合为华照村委会[3]。

地理环境[edit]

全村约11.95平方公里，农林用地12812亩，另有建设用地4138亩，居民约3800人[2]。

辖区内有一所小学、两所幼儿园，以及30多家企业[2]。
