左步村位于南朗街道东部，北面隔丰埠湖与濠涌村相望，是孙中山先生的祖居地，村中以欧、孙、阮三大姓聚居[1][2]。

历史沿革[edit]

左步村于明永乐年间建村，村史已有六百多年[1]。

孙中山1912年5月曾与夫人卢氏回到村中祭祖。村中仍保留孙氏大宗祠的旧建筑，以及孙中山当年返乡上岸的码头[1]。

地理环境[edit]

村子东靠涌口村，南侧为龙穴村，西侧是田边村；村域为约5.77平方公里，北面隔丰埠湖与濠涌村相对[1]。

人口[edit]

据百度百科，2023年末村中有352户户籍家庭，共1128名户籍人口；加上外来人口，常住人口为1412人[4]。

著名人物[edit]

村中出过方举赞（首家民族资本企业的创办人）、欧庚祥（粤汉铁路总监）、阮玲玉（1930年代的影星）和漫画家方成等人物[1]。

文化[edit]

左步村是省传统村落，村中设有左步人文历史展馆[3]。
