崖口村是南朗街道东南部的行政村，东临伶仃洋，南接珠海市，下辖8个自然村[1][4]。村子以集体经济模式和咸淡水养殖为主要产业，崖口飘色为本村的民俗表演[3][5]。

历史沿革[edit]

谭姓人于元至顺元年（1330年）迁居此处，村子由此始称崖口[2]。1951年称崖口村，1953年改称崖口乡，1955年又称崖口村，隶属中山县翠亨区[2]。

1986年设立崖口村委会，1998年改设为崖口村委会，此后一直隶属南朗镇[2]。

人口与姓氏[edit]

村内有八个村民小组。东堡、西堡、平山、中堡、向西五个小组主要为谭姓，杨家、陆家、化美小组分别以杨、陆、肖为主[1]。解放后又迎来部分外来户，如今全村共有五十三个姓氏[1]。

地理环境与产业[edit]

崖口村背山面海，年降雨量二千至三千毫米，适合耕种与养殖[3]。村中约有三千亩水稻耕地，全部机械化生产，另有三千多亩淡水鱼塘；围垦而来的滩涂则多改作咸淡水养殖场[3]。

文化[edit]

崖口飘色流行于村中，每年农历五月初六龙王诞时演出，2008年6月7日列入第二批国家级非物质文化遗产名录[5]。
