地理与历史[edit]
村总面积9280亩，下辖12个村民小组，距镇政府8公里。南邻新平村，西面与三角镇的高平村以番中公路相隔。[1]
至2010年，镇政府已征用村内土地5500亩，仅剩耕地3800亩，村民多以养殖四大家鱼、南美白对虾和种植蔬菜为生。[1]
人口与产业[edit]
村内住户约1200户。住宅多为80年代前的砖瓦平房，此后有的被改建成二到五层的楼房。[1]
2011年，村中常住5331人，暂住和外来人口超过一万人。[1]
沙仔工业化工区与环保产业园落户村内，园区有污水处理厂等70多家企业。村办企业共10家，涉及水泥制品、制线、工业气体等。[1]
