沿革[edit]
据百度百科，清光绪元年（1875年）前后，广东顺德、番禺、东莞一带的渔民陆续到田基沙筑围捕鱼，起初以船为家，此后部分人上岸定居，渐成村落。[2]
1937年广东沦陷后，周边遭日军扫荡，难民涌入，村落人口有所增加。[2]
此地后被划为新平四大队，之后改称新平四村。[2]
人口与经济[edit]
博雅地名网称村辖区5平方公里，耕地4893亩，分为9个村民小组，户籍有700多户。[1]
常住3133人，外来人口30多人，党员75名。村集体经济以土地划拨后的发包收入为主。[1]
主干农路硬底化与高标准农田水利建设也已展开。[1]
