南桥村是广东省中山市五桂山街道下辖的行政村，位于石岐南偏东方向约15公里处，驻地在溴脚。村名取自原来的南坑、石莹桥两村：两村合并后，各取一字而成。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

清乾隆和道光年间，南桥属谷都管辖。1944年，它归入五桂山抗日根据地，当时称石莹桥乡。1953年划归第二区三乡所辖；1958年成为三乡公社下的生产大队。1961年设南桥大队，1974年起划归山区建设指挥部。[2][3]

1983年改设南桥乡（历史沿革页记此年），概况页则记1984年称乡。1986年起为村委会，1989年又称管理区，1998年再次复称村委会。[3][2]

地理环境[edit]

博雅地名网记村辖10个自然村，百度百科则记为9个。[1][4] 城桂公路自村中穿过，并与石横公路接通。[2]

人口民族[edit]

2012年，村有231户、928人，男性430人，女性498人。全村计有65个姓氏，古、张两姓为大姓。[1]

百度百科记户籍约210户969人，另有外来人口约500人，年份未注。[4]

经济[edit]

原耕地1224亩，主产稻谷和花生。改革开放后，村委会自建工业厂房10554平方米，并吸引甘怡饮料、百嘉尚糖果、阳光电力等民营企业，共10家。[2]

1996年后旅游业起步，境内的景点包括客家庄、聚华园、五桂风情园、茶趣园和逍遥谷度假村，南桥由此成为五桂山旅游的中心。[2]

农村经济总收入方面，2005年为1147万元，2011年为2304.48万元。[2]

文化[edit]

石莹桥、槟榔山两村在抗战时期分别是珠江地区游击指挥部与珠江纵队司令部的落脚点，所有自然村都是革命老区村庄。[2]

槟榔山的古氏宗祠即珠江纵队司令部旧址，已是广东省文物保护单位（见五桂山街道条目）。[5]

村中侨胞众多，属中山侨乡之一，古润金、古榕、古华康等人是村里出身的侨商与侨领。[2]

2026年1月，南桥村获评「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」；2023年11月，被认定为「第三批全国乡村治理示范村」。[1]
