竹秀园村位于广东省中山市南区街道下辖的中山城区南部，距南区办事处约1千米，是中山市重点侨乡之一。[1]

村落始建于明嘉靖年间，由邻村槎桥的郭秀峰开村，因翠竹环绕而得名，别称竹溪村。2014年划入良都社区。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

博雅地名网记，明嘉靖年间（1522—1566年）郭秀峰自邻村槎桥迁此建村，村中翠竹成林、景色秀丽，因而得名。[2]

地理[edit]

秤钩湾与马恒河流经村内。山岭方面，旗山海拔189.5米，另有鸭山、白石环与长腰垄。[1]

经济与人口[edit]

传统经济以水稻种植为主，旗山东坑的甜桃曾有千余棵。1990年代，村内引进了盈富手袋厂等企业，此前华侨投资已带动工商业。如今，村集体收入多来自厂房和土地的出租。2015年户籍约两千人。[1]

文物与宗谱[edit]

村内现存《竹秀园郭氏宗谱》及建于1932年的仿英式建筑沛勋堂，祠庙方面，村中有蓝田祖郭公祠与三圣庙，皆为不可移动文物。[1]
