广丰社区位于西区街道北部，紧邻105国道，原名广丰围。该地于1927年被围垦为耕地，1999年由两个农场转制成立居委会，2002年改为广丰社区居民委员会[1][2]。

历史沿革[edit]

嘉庆年间（1786—1820年）前后，来自黄圃、阜圩的人在此开辟果园。1927年，中山县二区谿角乡一位富绅接收地产，雇人重新围垦近2000亩耕地，改种水稻，称为广丰围[4]。新中国成立初，政府在此设粤中农业示范农场，1958年并入中山农场，场部由稻香围迁回广丰。1969年改为沙蓢公社广丰大队，1978年改为国营中山沙蓢农场[4]。

1999年2月，市政府批准撤销沙朗农场与良种繁殖场，在两场原辖区上设立广丰居民委员会。同年8月，它随沙朗镇归入西区办事处；2002年7月起称广丰社区居民委员会[4]。

地域与经济[edit]

博雅地名网的概况页记，社区区域总面积2.3平方公里，南八涌与南六涌贯穿境内，水产养殖曾是这里的一大产业[3]。2001年建立的广丰工业园占地2000亩，先后引入中山恒生药业、深宝电器、大洋电机、千叶风扇等企业[3]。

百度百科记，辖区企业共331家，其中21家属于四上企业，大洋电机、日丰电缆等上市公司也在其中[1]。

荣誉与文化[edit]

社区于2022年11月被认定为「2022年度第二批中山市绿色社区」[2]。香港电视剧《大地恩情》曾以这里为主要拍摄地，2005年9月又有港商在此注册成立度假村公司[3]。
