灰炉村位于火炬开发区东南部，离区管委会约3.5千米，属城东社区。村中有灰炉涌流过。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

清初，渔民在此挖取蚝壳烧灰，形成灰炉涌，村名由此而来。乾隆年间，陈姓人从香山濠头迁入；光绪年间，何姓人从番禺沙湾迁入。行政隶属曾在张家边公社、红旗公社之间变动，2008年起归城东社区。[1]

经济[edit]

村中原以种植水稻、甘蔗和养殖生猪为生。1993年，村里引入港资丝花厂，产业随之转向工业，目前有五金加工和物流仓储企业。2015年，村集体收入为370万元。2020年获批的一块商业留用地位于白沙环，面积0.8667公顷。[1]

荣誉与近况[edit]

1998年，村被创建为「中山市卫生村」，同年还办起了「三高」农业示范基地。2024年12月，村里举行了新牌坊落成仪式。[1]
