员峰村是广东省中山市石岐街道偏西北部的村，位于员峰山南麓，西隔岐江河与西区沙朗片相望。据百度百科所载，它是石岐街道下辖的行政村，2021年以来属石岐街道莲员社区。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

员峰村初称员山仔村，据说建村于元代。明永乐二年（1404年），一支黄姓族人自新会来此定居，村名未改。清光绪初年，村名先变为下员山村。曾望颜在清朝时提议以员峰为名，民国时乡人遂改用此名。[1]

1953年起，该村的行政归属经石岐市郊区、北区等多次调整，2021年起属莲员社区。[1]

文化[edit]

除北帝庙外，村中还保留着三座清代宗祠，分别是卢氏宗祠、黄家祠与曾氏家祠。1998年，村里的龙舟在广州国际龙舟赛上夺得冠军，此项传统已延续两百余年。村民通用粤方言石岐话。[1]

经济[edit]

村中传统经济以种植水稻、养殖塘鱼为主；如今村域内聚集了57家企业，行业包括电子、制衣和五金等，形成工业区。[1]
