据百度百科，地方在1982年已设有圩集；1987年起称居民管理区，2005年才改为新创社区居委会。[4]

政府网站2026年5月公布的资料，社区户籍人数为15608，是镇财政预算的一个管理单位。辖区内有企业64家，其中规模以上企业3家，个体户商铺542家，出租屋252栋。[1]
