蕉利村位于中堂镇东南，离莞城西北约9千米，107国道从村内通过，村西与望牛墩镇为邻，东南与万江接壤。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

蕉利村在北宋时期立村。据传这里原是一片海滩，只住着几户渔民；江水带来泥沙，海滩逐渐抬高成为良田，渔民便弃渔务农。其中一位名叫亚蕉的村民乐于助人，邻里争相与他做邻居，村名因此定为蕉利。[1]

行政上，它先后为蕉利乡（1953年）、蕉利大队（1958年）、蕉利管理区（1987年），1999年才改为蕉利村委会。[1]

人口与荣誉[edit]

2007年的统计显示，外来人口4751人，户籍人口4875多人；辖7个村民小组，面积4.5平方千米。[1]

2020年9月、2021年10月和2022年10月，蕉利村先后上榜淘宝村名单。[1]
