鹤田村位于中堂镇中部，村北有南潢路穿过，东侧与凤冲相接，南面隔一条东江支流，与滘联、蕉利两村遥遥相对。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
鹤田立村于明思宗崇祯年间（1628年至1644年）。传说早年东江南支流的河滩边住着几户以捕鱼和捞蚬为生的人家，后来渐渐聚成村落。博雅地名网原文将「崇祯」写作「崇贞」。[1]
1983年时它称鹤田乡，接着在1987年变成管理区，到1999年才设为村委会。[1]
人口[edit]
2006年，全村面积约2.16平方千米，分旧鹤田、新鹤田两个自然村，共3个村民小组。户籍人口2210人，洪姓占七成五以上，戴、徐两姓为另外两大姓氏；同年外来人口达3300人。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2020年9月、2021年10月和2022年10月，鹤田村先后三次上榜淘宝村名单。[1]
